生物與軟物質物理公用實驗設施 (BSSF) 由四個實驗室組成，即先進光學顯微觀測實驗室 (AOML) 、生物樣品準備實驗室 (BSPL)、生化公用實驗室 (BCSL)，和軟材料結構與流變實驗室（SMSR Lab）。 BSSF 的主要目的是促進物理研究所 (IoP) 和中央研究院 (AS) 的生物物理和軟物質物理研究。除此之外，BSSF 也提供了一個平台，促進跨學科合作交流與開拓新實驗工具。

The Biological and Soft Matter Physics Shared Facilities (BSSF) consist of four laboratories, the Advanced Optical Microscopy Lab (AOML), the Bio-sample Preparation Lab (BSPL), the Biochemistry Shared Lab (BCSL), and the Soft Materials Structure and Rheology Laboratory (SMSR Lab). The main purpose of BSSF is to facilitate research in biological physics and soft matter physics at the Institute of Physics (IoP) as well as Academia Sinica (AS). BSSF also serve as a platform for promoting interdisciplinary collaborations and developing new experimental tools for studying biological and soft materials.

BSSF is managed by Dr. Jung-Ren Huang of the Physics of Active and Living Matter (PALM) group. Photos of major shared facilities of BSSF are shown below (click on the pictures to see more information). Regulations for using the facilities are detailed in the Application section.
