An Introduction to Random Number Generators

As doing simulations, people often use pseudorandom numbers. What kind of random number is suitable for your purpose? This talk will introduce the algorithms used to generate pseudorandom numbers and the physical processes which are used to generate true random numbers. We will analyze the randomness of different algorithms and the limitation of different physical processes. And parallel random numbers suitable for parallel computation will be demonstrated.
