Modeling Cosmic Inflation and Dark Energy in Horndeski Gravity

Dr. Gansukh Tumurtushaa (LeCosPA, National Taiwan University)Abstract
We discuss both early- and late-time dynamics of the Universe for a cosmological model that belongs to a subclass of the Horndeski theory of gravity. In particular, the model includes the derivative self-interaction of the scalar field and its derivative coupling to gravity. In light of the observational data, we show that our theoretical predictions are consistent with the current observations while respecting necessary conditions.
