Ultrafast single-shot terahertz and optical spectroscopy

Single-shot pump-probe spectroscopy is a special method to monitor the photoinduced dynamics under extreme conditions. Using the single-shot technique, we studied the carrier and phonon dynamics in photoexcited bismuth, the amorphization in crystalline tellurium by femtosecond pulses, and the insulator-to-metal phase transition in strained manganites.
