Job Details
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming, preferably Python
- Interest in learning numerical methods
- Improve and maintain computational open-source codes, such as
* MCEq: Matrix cascade equation
* DPMJET event generator
* impy
* PriNCe
- Optimize existing CPU/GPU algorithms, and develop new ones that utilize vectorization and GPUs
- Help with creating educational material and tutorials
- Actively contribute to the IceCube Neutrino Observatory, an international collaboration that includes 56 institutions in 14 countries
- Perform computational research tasks that may lead to publication contributions
