Mr. Jie-Pan Shen, a Ph.D. student working in Dr. Chia-Fu Chou’s Nanobioscience Lab, was conferred “Shirley-Chan Student Travel Grant Award”
Mr. Jie-Pan Shen, a Ph.D. student working in Dr. Chia-Fu Chou’s Nanobioscience Lab (IoP), was conferred “Shirley-Chan Student Travel Grant Award” in 2011 American Physical Society March Meeting for his work on “Pattern transitions in bacterial oscillating system under nanofluidic confinement”. His recent progress in nanoscale biophysics of bacterial oscillator has just won the “Education Travel Award” from the Biophysical Society. This work will be presented in 2012 Biophysical Society 56th Annual Meeting. Mr. Shen enrolled in Taiwan International Graduate Program/Nano Science and Technology Program (TIGP/NSTP), mainly sponsored by Institute of Physics, Academia Sinica.
