Dr. Balchandar Navaneethan, TIGP-Nano alumnus, won First Prize at the 2025 Falling Walls Lab Taipei

Dr. Balchandar Navaneethan, an alumnus of the Taiwan International Graduate Program – Nanoscience and Technology (TIGP-Nano) and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Academia Sinica (Lab of Dr. Chia-Fu Chou), won First Prize at the 2025 Falling Walls Lab Taipei. He will represent Taiwan at the 2025 Global Innovation Summit in Berlin, Germany. This achievement not only demonstrates his outstanding scientific innovation capacity but also further showcases Taiwan’s research excellence on the global stage.
The event was jointly organized by the German Institute Taipei, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation Global Innovation Hub, the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), the German Academic Exchange Service Taiwan (DAAD Taiwan), and the Dresden University of Technology (TUD Dresden University of Technology). The aim of the program is to encourage young scholars to break through disciplinary boundaries and bring innovative ideas onto the international stage.
