Physics Institute Reports Less Toxic, Easier-to-handle Iron-based Superconductor
Post Date:2008-09-10
Over the last few months, the discovery of iron-based oxypnictide superconductors has led to renewed interest in superconductivity. This month, a research team led by Academician and Distinguished Research Fellow Maw-Kuen Wu, Director of the Institute of Physics, reported a new iron-based superconductor (PbO type structure α-FeSe) which is less toxic and easier to handle than those previously reported. His research entitled “Superconductivity in‥‥
