Our research interests are
primarily in the areas of organic synthesis and chemical biology. Using
chemistry as a toolbox to develop new chemical bioconjugations and novel
fluorescent smart probes for selective labeling of biomolecules,
providing unique tools to study cellular recognition processes. We are
also interest in developing new synthetic strategies for the efficient
and economical synthesis of therapeutic glycoconjugates and
carbohydrate-based small molecular inhibitors to combat infectious and
