Dear Students of Nano, MST, and SCST,

We are pleased to announce that 2024 Nano/MST/SCST Joint Poster Contest will be held on November 26 (Tuesday), 2024, jointly by the Nano, MST, and SCST programs. This is a great opportunity to win your travel grants and interact with your colleagues. We encourage and welcome you all to participate in this big annual event.

Eligibility for Participation

  • Students who are going to be third-year students, or are currently in their third year or beyond are required to participate in the poster contest. If you are unable to participate, you have to provide a reason approved by your advisor (e-mail correspondence or written document). Students who are on study suspension are exempt from participation.
  • Students who are in their 1st or 2nd year are welcome and encouraged to participate in the poster contest.

Complete your personal information and choose your research field in one of the following:
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Materials
  • Bio Physics / Bio Chemistry

Poster Awards

The winner will be awarded the travel grant for attending an international conference in 2025.
  • 1st prize: NT$ 80,000/ person for 1 winner
  • 2nd prize: NT$ 60,000/ person for 3 winners
  • 3rd prize: NT$ 38,000/ person for 7 winners

    • *Notes

    • The travel grants must be used for attending international conferences held in 2025.
    • The awardees must deliver an oral or a poster presentation in the international conferences to be eligible for claiming the travel grants.

Evaluation

  • First Round
    20 best posters will be selected by the referees during the Poster Session.
  • Second Round
    The presenters of the 20 selected posters each needs to give a 5-min (3-min talk plus 2-min Q&A) in the Oral Presentation Session (1:45 PM~ 4:10 PM).
  • The winners of the "2024 Joint Poster Contest" will be announced in the Awards Ceremony. ​

  • The poster size is H120 × W90 cm, in order to fit a poster board (shown in the following picture)
  • Poster Pasting: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Nov. 25, 2024 (one day before the contest)
  • Poster Removal: 4:10 PM - 16:30 PM, Nov. 26, 2024
