Course Description:

This is Classic Electrodynamics I which is required for International Graduate Program students. The materials to be covered are described in the following.
Contents:
1. Introduction to Electrodynamics
2. Boundary-Value Problems
3. Multipoles, Electrostatics of Macroscopic Media, Dielectrics
4. Magnetostatics
5. Time-Varying Fields, Maxwell Equations, Conservation Laws
6. Planed Electromagnetic Waves and Wave Propagation
7. Special Theory of Relativity

Evaluation:

There will be home work for each chapter which will account for 60% of the final grade. There will also be one middle term examination and one final examination. The examinations will account for 40% of the final grade.
