The 9th Taiwan International Symposium on Statistical Physics (StatPhys Taiwan 2008), to be held from 8 July to 12 July 2008 follows previous meeting in 1991, 1993, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007 with the 1993 and 1995 meetings sponsored by International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) and the 1997 and 2002 meetings by the Asia-Pacific Center of Theoretical Physics (APCTP).      The topics of the 2008 meeting include lattice models, biological evolution, biological macromolecules, Brownian motor, immune system, neuron network and synchronization, protein folding, systems biology, population dynamics, analysis and modeling of complex data, etc. The workshop will be held at the Institute of Physics of Academia Sinica, Taipei and National Center for Theoretical Sciences (North) at National Taiwan University.
     The scientific program of the Symposium consists of invited review talks (40-60 min. each), seminars talks (20-30 min. each), and poster presentations. The meeting site will provide E-mail, fax, and copying services. The Organizing Committee will arrange a tour in Taipei area on 10 July 2008.
