General Information

The 20th Taiwan Spring School on Particles and Fields will be held at Department of Physics, National Taiwan University, Taipei during April 1-4, 2007. This series of schools has had a long tradition with the first one being organized by Prof. Chien-Er Lee at Shi-Tou in 1986. The purpose to  introduce to graduate students recent progress on important and hot topics in particles and fields.

The school will contain two 80-miniute lectures in each morning and each afternoon, plus one-hour recitations before dinner. The level of lectures is similar to that of TASI. The school will be hosted by Academia Sinica, and sponsored by Academia Sinica, APCTP, National Science Council, and National Taiwan University. Four lunches, one reception, and one banquet will be provided to all participants without charge.  

Weather of Taipei is pleasant in April, but rain is expected. National Taiwan University is located at one of the feature districts of the Taipei City with various shops, lively night life, and easy access to many points of interest.

Registration will start on February 1, 2007. School applicants may proceed the on-line registration, or fill in the registration form and return it to Ms. Chia-Chi Liu by fax, email or mail. There is no registration fee. Most participants will be accommodated at Howard International House, which is 5-min walking from the school site. Free accommodation will be provided to students at the Guest House of NTU and Academia Sinica.
