• Research Fellow and Director, Institute of Physics, Academia Sinica (1990-1993).
• Distinguished Research Fellow and Director, Institute of Physics, Academia Sinica (1993-1999).

Research Interests

Surface Physics, Atomic Resolution Microscopy, Surface Atomic and Molecular Dynamics, Nanostructured Materials and their Physical Properties, Mechanisms of Growth in Crystals and Epitaxial Films, etc. Published three books (Elsevier & Cambridge U. P.) and about 300 papers.
