Probing pseudo-Goldstone dark matter

Takashi Toma

Thermal WIMPs are a well-motivated dark matter candidate, and
are searched by various experiments. However any clear signature is not
observed yet and resultant constraints are imposed on thermal WIMP
scenarios. In particular, the constraints of recent direct detection
experiments are stronger and stronger. In this talk, we propose a model
of pseudo-Goldstone dark matter, and we show that the dark matter can
naturally avoid the strong constraints of dark matter direct detection.
In addition to detailed calculation of dark matter direct detection
cross section, the other ways of detecting the dark matter are also
discussed.
