全球氣候變遷造成的氣候暖化已成為人類發展之一迫切問題，因此國際社會訂定了到2050年實現碳零排放的共同目標。為此，中央研究院啟動了Alpha去碳燃氫計畫開發綠能。重點是發展各種方法如熱催化、電漿裂解等技術將天然氣裂解為碳黑和氫氣，做為工業原料或氫氣發電的目標。目前我們已有初步的研究結果，隨著研發技術的成熟，將朝新創產業發展，使這項技術達成商業化運作。我們正在網羅相關領域的博士、碩士和學士級人才加入。

Opportunities span experimental, computational, and theoretical projects. Although research topics are flexible, potential areas of exploration include live-cell imaging of individual and collective cellular behaviors, information-theoretic analyses of cell signaling, image and time-series analyses using advanced statistical techniques including machine learning, and the development of pioneering measurement tools in microscopy and microfluidics. We welcome PhD students to join our group to conduct research in the field of quantum matter theory. We investigate various quantum matter and quantum phenomena in various nanoscale systems, including topological phases of matter, strongly correlated matter, and spin-related phenomena.

The position is to conduct research focused on the investigation of electronic properties and quantum phenomena of topological semimetals and topological superconductors by using low temperature scanning tunneling microscope (STM) under high magnetic field. The ideal candidate is able to operate, maintain and improve our STM and other UHV equipment, perform measurements, analyze the data and write manuscripts. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively with our international collaborators in the area of crystal synthesis, DFT calculation and material characterizations.
