Introduction The mission of core facilities for nanoscience and nanotechnology at the Academia Sinica (NanoCore) is to support and promote the advanced research on nanoscience and nanotechnology, such as the studies on nanostructures, nanomaterials, nanodevices, and nanobiotechnology. The major funding for NanoCore comes from two sources, which are the National Program for Nanoscience & Nanotechnology, and the Nanoscience & Nanotechnology Project at the Academia Sinica. User fees also cover part of the operating costs. |

Organization NanoCore operates under a central administration managed by a general manager, and overseen by an oversight committee.

Priority Conditions NanoCore is aimed to fulfill the needs of the best research projects, therefore the priority conditions are set as: (1) National Academic Excellence Projects for nanoscience and nanotechnology from the Academia Sinica. (2) Other nanoscience/technology projects from the Academia Sinica. (3) Nanoscience/technology projects, in collaboration with the research groups from the Academia Sinica. (4) Nanoscience/technology projects from the other academic institutes in Taiwan. |
